Benjamin's Pub Shooter Faces Charges in Mass, RI

Scott Campbell, the alleged shooter from a weekend drive-by at Benjamin's Sports Pub, faces numerous felony weapons charges in Massachusetts and Rhode Island

The 43-year-old Fall River man charged with shooting up a Tiverton pub over the weekend faces multiple felony weapons charges in Massachusetts in addition to Rhode Island charges.

Following a drive-by shooting just before 11:30 p.m. on Saturday at Benjamin's Sports Pub, Fall River Police arrested Scott Campbell, 43, of 56 Warren St., Fall River, after witnesses identified his car from the shooting.

Campbell allegedly fired two shots at the bar from his orange Dodge Neon at about 11:25 p.m. on Saturday as he drove past the establishment. One shot struck the building's facade and was embedded in the wall while the other shot went straight through the bar's glass front door; shattering it and striking a 52-year-old Fall River patron in the back of the shoulder. Police responded in less than three minutes from the time of the original call.
