Unregistered Sex Offender Found in Tiverton
Jose Reyes, of 15 Randolph Ave., was arrested by Tiverton Police and the U.S. Marshals Service on Wednesday on drug possession, assault and failing to register as a sex offender.
Tiverton Police and agents from the U.S. Marshals Service arrested a sex offender on Wednesday on charges of failing to register and drug possession. Charges are being prepared in Massachusetts since he moved from the state without permission. According to police, federal charges are being explored. Jose Anthony Reyes, 41, of 15 Randolph Ave., was arrested at 9:57 a.m. Wednesday and charged with failure to register as a sex offender, possession of Suboxone without a prescription, violation of a no contact order and resisting arrest. He was released yesterday on bail for a domestic violence charge against his girlfriend. He appears Friday in Second District Court in Newport as a bail violator, along with new charges from the incident. …
