Library Encourages Family Reading

Children and parents will work together this summer to improve written and verbal communication skills with the Tiverton Library's "What's Your Dream?" program for students in grades 3, 4, and 5.

This summer join the “Dream Team” at Tiverton Library Services and think about, write about and discuss ways to achieve your dreams. Children entering Grades 3, 4 and 5, and their parents or caregivers, are invited to register for a spot on the Dream Team now through July 31. Neither the relatively small turnout nor the weather dampened fundraising efforts this weekend. According to the event coordinator, Peter Dowling, generous contributions from participants and area businesses earned more than $4,000. Construction on the $11.6 million library is slated to start later this year. "The walk-a-thon was originally supposed to be held on June 2 in conjunction with the library fair and the book fair at the high school, but there was a big…
