Tiverton Police: Second-Offense DUI and Road Rage on Lake Road

Westport Man Charged with Marijuana Possession Cody Cadieux, 22, of 259 D Tickle Road, Westport, MA, was arrested by Tiverton Police on Saturday, March 16 at 3:29 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana, first offense, driving in possession of a controlled substance, and failure to display license plates on his vehicles. According to reports, police stopped Cadieux's vehicle on Eagleville Road shortly after 3 p.m. because he had no license plates displayed. Tiverton Police Seek Cumberland Farms Armed Robber

Tiverton Police are seeking help in identifying an armed robbery suspect in the hold-up at Cumberland this past weekend.

  Tiverton Police are asking the community for help in identifying the man responsible for an armed robbery at Cumberland Farms over the weekend. Just before 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, a white man wearing sunglasses and a hooded sweatshirt walked into the Main Road convenience store, pointed a gun at the female cashier and demanded money. According to Tiverton Police, the armed robber took off on foot in an unknown direction with just $45. Cumberland Farms employees do not keep large amounts of cash in their drawers and periodically make deposits in a drop-safe behind the counter. The suspect is described as a clean-shaven white man, approximately 6-foot 4-inches tall in his mid-20s. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing blue jeans …

Fall River Man Arrested After Passing Out In Restaurant At 10 A.M.

A 24-year-old man was charged with felony drug possession after he passed out standing up in a bar.

  Tiverton Police were called to the scene of Stafford Road restaurant last week after two patrons fell asleep inside. It was 10 a.m. The restaurant manager reportedly called police at about 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 6 and reported a male and a female customer were passed out inside the establishment and appeared to be under the influence. According to police reports, the woman was in the middle of scratching a lottery scratch ticket when she fell asleep on the table.  The man, Joshua Dalton, 24, of 339 Neptun St., Fall River, was reportedly standing in the restaurant swaying. Tiverton Police: Little Compton Man Charged with Pot Possession

  Little Compton Man Charged with Pot Possession Daniel Massey, 24, of 51 Queen Awashunk Trail, was arrested on Monday, March 11 at 9:11 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana, first offense and driving in possession of a controlled substance.  Massey was transported to headquarters, processed and released on a district court hearing. North Dartmouth Man Arrested For DUI Ray C. Dutton, 48, of 891 Fisher Road, North Dartmouth, MA, was arrested on March 4 at 5:32 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Police stopped Dutton's car on Route 24 after an officer reportedly saw him swerving over center lane, across fog line and nearly stike a curb. The police officer noted that Dutton …

Tiverton Teen Allegedly Commits Breaking and Entering

Tiverton Police arrested an 18-year-old Tiverton man last week.

  Tiverton Police charged an 18-year-old Tiverton man last week with breaking and entering, a felony. Christopher Destremps, 18, of 132 Kearns Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on Feb. 26 at 12:23 p.m. and charged with felony burglary following an investigation of a break-in on Randolph Avenue by Tiverton police officers. After receiving a complaint of a break-in by a Randolph Avenue homeowner on Feb. 12, Officers Liam Black and Matthew Braun investigated the scene and found a set of footprints in the snow in the backyard of the home. The officers followed the footprints, photographed them and were able to determine an approximate shoe size. After a subsequent investigation, police identified Destremps as a suspect and he allegedly admitted to …

Tiverton Police: No Contact Orders and Domestic Larceny

Fall River Man Violates No Contact Order Bernard Edwards, 35, of 1264 North Main Road, Apt. 1, Fall River, MA, was arrested on Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. and charged with violating a no contact order against his estranged wife. According to police reports, Edward's wife contacted the Tiverton Police Department on Dec. 2 at 10:30 a.m. and alleged that Edwards had sent her a friend request on Facebook - in violation of the no contact order. Based information gathered in an ensuing investigation, a warrant was issued for Edwards arrest and he turned himself into police headquarters on Feb. 21. Tiverton Police Arrest Brothers, Charged With Massachusetts Purse Snatchings

Two brothers were arrested on Sunday, Feb. 24 after they were allegedly involved in two purse snatching incidents in Massachusetts.

  Two brothers, one of Tiverton and the other of Fall River, face multiple felony charges after Tiverton Police arrested the pair as they fled Massachusetts after alleged purse snatching incidents in Swansea and Fall River. Tiverton Police stopped Tyler G. Lima, 21, of 588 Crandall Road, Tiverton and his brother, Cory M. Lima, 25, of 162 Lafayette St., Fall River, on Fish Road on Sunday, Feb. 24 believing it was connected to the Massachusetts purse thefts. According to Tiverton Public Information Officer Capt. Patrick Jones, radio dispatch informed patrol officers that a car containing two white males and matching the description of the Lima's vehicle was traveling into Tiverton from Fall River via Fish Road. Tiverton Police Arrest Alleged Drunken Driver Carrying Gun

A Somerset is facing drunken driving and felony firearms charges after Tiverton Police arrested him following a car crash last week.

A Somerset man is facing a felony firearm charge after Tiverton Police arrested him on drunken-driving charges on Jan. 29. Aron LePage, 36, of 124 Old Colony Way, Somerset, MA, allegedly rear-ended a Nissan Sedan that was stopped at the intersection of Crandall and Stafford roads. According to police reports, Lepage struck the Nissan with his Chevy Silverado, causing it to run off of the roadway. No one was injured in the crash. As police spoke with LePage, officers noted signs of alcohol intoxication and frisked his person in preparation for a field sobriety test. Tiverton Police: Middletown Man Charged with DUI, 10 Other Offenses

  Get Your Own Name, Bro Christopher Vivier, 34, of 15 Randolph Ave. Apt. 1, Tiverton, was arrested on Jan. 22 at 11:05 p.m. and charged with obstructing an officer in duty and driving with a suspended license. According to Tiverton Police reports, a warrant was drafted for Vivier's arrest following a traffic stop on Bridgeport Road on Jan. 9. Tiverton Police stopped Vivier for not wearing a safety belt and noticed that the registration on his Ford Expedition came back for a Volvo. At the time he had no license on him and gave police his brother's identity. He was cited and released that night. During a followup investigation, police learned Vivier had given an assumed identity and a warrant was drafted for his arrest. Police arrested …

Westport Man Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges

Tiverton Police arrested a Westport man on multiple drug charges following a routine traffic stop on Sunday.

  Tiverton Police charged a Westport, MA man with two counts of drug possession on Sunday following a traffic stop on Crandall Road. Edward Medeiros, 39, of 366 Sanford Road, Westport, MA, was arrested on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 6:20 p.m. and charged with misdemeanor possession on marijuana, felony possession of Hydrocodone and driving in possession of a controlled substance. Police stopped Medeiros on Crandall Road for speeding after an officer allegedly clocked him driving 60 mph in a posted 40 mph zone. Upon approaching Medeiros vehicle, police alleged they could smell an ordor of marijuana coming from within the car. During a subsequent search, police found a wooden pipe, seven marijuana cigarettes and several Hydrocodone pills for which …
