Important Dates For Tiverton Voters
The Tiverton Town Clerk lays out the facts for voters who want to participate in the Democratic primary on Sept. 11.
The Tiverton town clerk's office will hold a voter registration drive at the Tiverton Town Hall on Sunday, Aug. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., this is the last chance for residents to register if they want to participate in the Democratic primary in September. "This is for anybody to come because it is the last chance that they have to register to vote before the primary on Sept. 11," said Nancy Mello, town clerk. "We also do this before the general election. Registration must be done 30 days before." Any new voters who wish to vote in the primary must do so by Sunday. Any voters who have changed their names or address must also notify the Tiverton Board of Canvassers by Sunday. According to Mello, the preliminary lists of eligible voters …
