Tiverton Seeks Public Input On Developing Commercial Areas At Workshop Tonight
The Tiverton Planning Board is hosting a public workshop on extending the Main Road and Bliss Four Corners commercial districts tonight at 6 p.m.
In an effort to encourage business in Tiverton, the town Planning Department is seeking public input on the expansion of two commercial zoning districts in town. The public workshop will being tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall, 343 Highland Road. Residents are being asked for input on the expansion and draft changes to the town zoning code regarding the Main Road and Bliss Four Corners commercial districts. Planning Board Administrative Officer Kate Michaud stated intent of the workshop is to inspire revisions that would allow greater flexibility in boundaries and uses of the commercial zoning districts, reports The Sakonnet Times. What is this love affair that the DOT has with roundabouts while other states are banning them because they are dangerious RIDOT wants to put them at every intersection. They wanted to put three in portsmouth and the people fought it they wanted to put several in Middletown and they fought them now Tiverton.
