The Boat House in Tiverton took home second place in the Best Creative Chowder category of the 32nd Annual Polar Seltzer Great Chowder Cook-Off.
Thousands of chowder lovers savored the sumptuous soups of the best chefs at the 32nd Annual Polar Seltzer Great Chowder Cook-Off, held Saturday at the Newport Yachting Center. But they also had a job to do — to determine who was going to take home the coveted titles of “Best Clam,” “Best Seafood” and “Best Creative” chowder and thousands in prize money. The restaurant connoisseurs are talking, and The Boat House in Tiverton has the great mix of seafood, indoor and outdoor dining and views of the Sakonnet River. OpenTable, a real-time online reservation service for restaurants across the world, named The Boat House this week as one of 50 restaurants nationwide with the best scenic views.
