Dinner’s done and the only thing more stuffed than the bird is you. Now the question becomes: What to do with all those leftovers? While many say simply reheating is all that’s necessary to have a “day after” feast, others have elaborate recipes for turning Thanksgiving leftovers into gourmet delights. From savory turkey soups to sinfully delicious pot pies and mile-high sandwiches, everyone has their own ideas on what to do with what’s leftover. Students donated more than 800 canned goods, nonperishable food items and toiletries to the Tiverton Food Pantry on Tuesday.
Tiverton High School students passed on the Thanksgiving spirit on Tuesday, donating more than 800 canned goods, nonperishable food items and toiletries to the Tiverton food pantry. Students collected the all the goods in about a week, rallying around a cause that could make a difference to struggling families in their own community. "This summer we discussed the idea of the food drive and we wanted to be able to donate in our own community," said Carrie Gibbons, an English Language Arts teacher at the high school who helped organize the food drive. The Advisory Committee, a group of about a dozen high school teachers, plans events like the food drive to teach students compassion and understanding for their neighbors. It also offers …

These wild guinea hens were spotted shaking their tail feathers on West Main Road in Little Compton on Tuesday.

If you're looking for the perfect turkey for your Thanksgiving Day table, look no further than Helger's Turkey Ranch. The family-run farm has been raising generations of plump and delicious white-feathered turkeys since 1939. "Our turkeys are fresh, all natural with no hormones and they're grain fed," said one of the Helger women, poking her head out from behind the rows of turkey's being wrapped and labeled for delivery to family feasts.
