Tiverton Extends Time PAYT Bags Not Required
Tiverton residents can use any color trash bags for the week of Dec. 31 through Jan. 4.
The Town of Tiverton extended the time the residents will not be required to use pay-as-you-throw-bags by one day. Pay As You Throw (PAYT) trash bags will not be required for Tiverton residents during the week of Dec. 31 through Jan. 5. In accordance with past years, the Town Council voted at its Dec. 10 meeting to suspend PAYT trash bags for one week, allowing residents to use any color trash bags during the week that transitions into the new year. All trash must still be in bags and all regular trash and recycling rules still apply.
