A vehicle, operated by a 90-year-old Little Compton woman, crashed into the storefront of Wilbur's General Store after a medical incident on Friday afternoon.
A car, driven by a 90-year-old Little Compton woman, crashed through the South of Commons Road storefront on Friday, police said. Margery B. Phinney, 90, of 82 South Shore Road, Little Compton, lost control of her green Subaru Forester following a medical incident as she drove down the south side of Pikes Peak, according to a report by Lt. Antone Marion of the Little Compton Police Department. No one was seriously injured in the crash, although the storefront of Wilbur’s General Store sustained substantial damage.

Westport Man Driving With Expired License Brett Schneider, 26, of Westport, MA, was arrested on Wednesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. and charged with driving with an expired license after his car was stopped for a motor vehicle violation. He was summoned to appear at District Court.

Fall River Man Charged With Pot Possession, Obstructing an Officer Tedeau Semedo, 20, of Fall River, was arrested on Saturday, March 16 at 10:28 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana, first offense, and obstructing an officer in execution of duty. According to reports, police were called to a Long Highway home for a report of an unwanted man at the home. during the investigation, police found Semedo, searched his person and found the marijuana, and charged him with obstruction after he allegedly supplied police with a false date of birth. Little Compton Police arrested Maya Burton, 31, of West Main Rd, Little Compton on Friday, Jan. 5 at 6:06 p.m. and charged her with domestic breaking and entering. She was also taken into custody on a district court warrant. According to reports, police responded to 8 Meeting House Lane for a report of a female attempting to break into the residence. Police allegedly found Burton smashing at the entrance door. During the investigation officers discovered an active warrant for failure to appear in district court.

West Main Road Woman Drives Almost Double The Speed Limit, Charged With DUI Hillary A Joyce, 46, of 603 West Main Road, Little Compton, was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 12:23 a.m. and charged with drunken driving and driving with an expired license. Police stopped Joyce for speeding on West Main Road. She was allegedly driving at 70 mph in a 40 mph zone. After initiating the traffic stop, police detected alcohol coming from inside of the vehicle and noted that Joyce appeared to be intoxicated. After failing field sobriety tests, she was arrested and charged. A 28-year-old Little Compton man was arrested on burglary and drug charges following a home invasion on Friday, Nov. 30.
Little Compton Police arrested a 28-year-old Little Compton man on Friday, Nov. 30 within hours after he allegedly invaded the home of an elderly man on Indian Hill Road. Luther Parente, 28, of 305 Long Highway was arrested and charged with breaking and entering a dwelling of a person over the age of 60 while the victim was on the premises, a felony, larceny of less than $1,500, possession of marijuana, and possession of a schedule IV narcotic. According to reports, Parente allegedly attempted to rob the elderly man's 71 Indian Hill Road home shortly before 8 a.m. on Friday. The homeowner was awoken when Parente turned on his bedroom light. A pickup truck crashed into and severed utility pole on West Main Road in Little Compton around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, prompting police to close the road to all traffic for about an hour and 40 minutes.
West Main Road in Little Compton reopened to traffic just after 4:30 p.m. after a crash severed a utility pole and blocked the roadway Tuesday afternoon. The pole came down after the driver of a pickup truck lost control and struck the pole just before 3 p.m. The single-car crash caused the pole to snap in two places and partially obstruct the roadway. The driver was not seriously injured, but was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. "Part of the pole is in the roadway, so I'm hesitant to let anyone through," said Lt. Somerset Man Charged With Marijuana Possession Tyler Janeiro, 20, of Somerset, MA was arrested on Nov. 9 at 9:27 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana, first offense. According to reports, police stopped Janeiro on West Main Road for a motor vehicle infraction and detected an odor of marijuana inside the vehicle. After a search, officers recovered a bag of marijuana. Janeiro was arrested, processed and later arraigned. Items Stolen From Burchard Avenue Home A Burchard Avenue resident reported on Nov. 6 at 3:19 p.m. that items were missing from inside the home. Officers responded and noted that there were no signs of a breaking & entering however, several items were missing from the home. The matter is under investigation. …

Jeremy P Thurston, 35, of 435 West Main Road, Little Compton, was arrested on Monday, Oct. 8 at 6:48 a.m. after police saw him walking on Meeting House Lane. Thurston was wanted by the North Kingston Police Department for a domestic assault and for violating a no contact order. He was later turned over to the North Kingston Police. Zachary G. Leroy, 19, of 27 Louise Drive, Tiverton, was cited on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 9:44 p.m. for possession of alcohol by a person under 21 and for driving with an expired registration. Little Compton Police stopped Leroy's car because of the registration issue and saw an unopened bottle of jagermeister in the passengers compartment of the car. Leroy was released from the scene with a court summons.

No License to Drive Jairo-Adonias Mota-Ramos, 21, of Providence, was arrested on Sept. 26 at 3:37 p.m. and charged with driving without a license. After a computer check, police learned he did not have a license to drive. He was arrested and returned to the station for processing.
