Little Compton Police: Local Woman Charged With Domestic Breaking and Entering

Reports are based solely on information provided by the Little Compton Police Department. Arrests do not necessarily indicate a conviction.

Little Compton Police arrested Maya Burton, 31, of West Main Rd, Little Compton on Friday, Jan. 5 at 6:06 p.m. and charged her with domestic breaking and entering. She was also taken into custody on a district court warrant. According to reports, police responded to 8 Meeting House Lane for a report of a female attempting to break into the residence. Police allegedly found Burton smashing at the entrance door. During the investigation officers discovered an active warrant for failure to appear in district court.

Little Compton Police: Lost Christmas Presents Returned

In the spirit of a true Christmas miracle, a local man returned gifts he found found laying in the street.

Lost Christmas Presents Returned On Friday, Dec. 21 at 8:04 a.m., a Long Highway resident returned two bags of Christmas presents into Little Compton Police headquarters after he found them laying in the road. Police were able to locate the owner and returned them to her. Ipod Returned A West Main Road resident turned an Ipod into police headquarters on Friday, Dec. 21 at 8:38 a.m. after he reportedly found it laying in his front yard. It was secured in the office lost and found.

Little Compton Police: Local Woman Nearly Doubles Speed Limit, Charged With DUI

West Main Road Woman Drives Almost Double The Speed Limit, Charged With DUI Hillary A Joyce, 46, of 603 West Main Road, Little Compton, was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 12:23 a.m. and charged with drunken driving and driving with an expired license. Police stopped Joyce for speeding on West Main Road. She was allegedly driving at 70 mph in a 40 mph zone. After initiating the traffic stop, police detected alcohol coming from inside of the vehicle and noted that Joyce appeared to be intoxicated. After failing field sobriety tests, she was arrested and charged. Police later learned her driver’s license was expired. 20-Year-Old Local Woman Arrested on Warrant Jill A Sartini, 20, of 21 East View Drive, Little Compton, was arrested on Tuesday…

Little Compton Police: Tiverton Woman Allegedly Steals Money From Roadside Stand

  Providence Man Charged With Driving Without A License Juan Ramos-Ralios, 28, of Providence, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 12:30 p.m. and charged with driving without a license. Police stopped Ramos-Ralios for a motor vehicle infraction on Taylor's Lane when officers learned he didn’t have a license to drive. He was arrested, processed and later arraigned at the Second Division District Court. Tiverton Woman Charged With Stealing Money From Roadside Stand Kerri L. Lesneski, 32, of 42 Heritage Park, Tiverton, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 7 at 4:35 p.m. and charged with misdemeanor larceny of less than $1,500. Little Compton Police: New Bedford Man Arrested On Marijuana Charges

New Bedford Man Charged With Drug Possession Brendan Mulroy, 26, of 400 Court St., New Bedford, MA, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 1:55 p.m. and charged him with possession of marijuana, first offense. Little Compton Police stopped for a moving violation on Colebrook Road. When theofficer approached the vehicles driver he could smell the odor of burnt marijuana comingfrom inside the vehicle, which then lead to Mulroy’s arrest. Holly Berry Hill Vandalism A Holly Berry Hill resident reported to police at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28 that a dooron a wooden shed on the person's property was vandalized. Little Compton Man Charged In Home Invasion Of Elderly Man

A 28-year-old Little Compton man was arrested on burglary and drug charges following a home invasion on Friday, Nov. 30.

Little Compton Police arrested a 28-year-old Little Compton man on Friday, Nov. 30 within hours after he allegedly invaded the home of an elderly man on Indian Hill Road. Luther Parente, 28, of 305 Long Highway was arrested and charged with breaking and entering a dwelling of a person over the age of 60 while the victim was on the premises, a felony, larceny of less than $1,500, possession of marijuana, and possession of a schedule IV narcotic. According to reports, Parente allegedly attempted to rob the elderly man's 71 Indian Hill Road home shortly before 8 a.m. on Friday. The homeowner was awoken when Parente turned on his bedroom light. Little Compton Police: Local Teenager Arrested For Marijuana Possession

  Little Compton Teenager Charged with Marijuana Possession Riley Kinnane, 19, of 19 Bernard Lane, Little Compton, was arrested on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 3 a.m. and charged with possession of marijuana, first offense. Police allegedly found marijuana on Kinnane after checking on a suspicious vehicle parked on Town Way. Suspected Theft On West Main Road A West Main Road resident reported on Nov. 20 at 1:39 p.m. that an heirloom necklace was taken from the residence. The necklace was last seen in June.

  Fall River Man Arrested For Driving With Expired License Gene Carvalho, 60, of Fall River, MA, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 12 at 9:28 a.m. and charged with driving with an expired license. Little Compton Police stopped Carvalho on West Main Road for a traffic infraction and learned his license was invalid. He was released with a court summons. Suspended License Arrest Leads to Felony Drug Possession Charge Joseph S. Rocha, 26, of Fall River, MA, was arested on Monday, Nov. 12 at 4:14 p.m. and charged with possession of Suboxone and driving with a suspended license. Police stopped Rocha on South Shore Road and a subsequent computer check showed Rocha's license was suspended. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters where a …

Little Compton: Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Possession Charge

  Somerset Man Charged With Marijuana Possession Tyler Janeiro, 20, of Somerset, MA was arrested on Nov. 9 at 9:27 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana, first offense. According to reports, police stopped Janeiro on West Main Road for a motor vehicle infraction and detected an odor of marijuana inside the vehicle. After a search, officers recovered a bag of marijuana. Janeiro was arrested, processed and later arraigned. Items Stolen From Burchard Avenue Home A Burchard Avenue resident reported on Nov. 6 at 3:19 p.m. that items were missing from inside the home. Officers responded and noted that there were no signs of a breaking & entering however, several items were missing from the home. The matter is under investigation. …

Little Compton Police: Providence Man Arrested For Driving Without A License

  Providence Man Arrested For Driving Without A License Santos Morente, 32, of 17 Rosedale St. Providence, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 2:48 p.m. Police stopped Morente for speeding and a subsequent computer check showed that he did not have a drivers license.
