Snow And Freezing Rain To Make For Slippery Evening Commute

Monday evening's drive home could prove slippery as light snows and freezing rain are expected to last through early Tuesday.

It may be less than inch of snow cover, but local meteorologists warn Monday's light snows could make for slippery roads and a difficult evening commute. Did You Drive Over the New Sakonnet River Bridge Today?

What did you think of the new traffic pattern?

The new Sakonnet River Bridge opened for Route 24 northbound traffic today, Sept. 20, for the first time after years of construction.  In approximately one week, the new bridge also will carry southbound traffic, according to the Department of Transportation.  Tiverton-Little Compton Patch wants to know what you thought as you drove over the bridge for the first time!  Did your commute feel shorter with Exit 5 toward downtown Tiverton and Main Road reopened after being closed in June? Were you impressed by the view? Did the route seem easier? Were you impressed by the bridge's new style?  Tell us your thoughts in the comment section below!
