Little Compton Police: Suspended Licenses and Warrants

The following reports were supplied by the Little Compton Police Department. Arrests do not necessarily indicate convictions.

Suspended License Carlos Minueza, 48, of 743 Franklin Ave., Revere, MA, was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 7:37 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license. Little Compton Police arrested Minueza after stopping his vehicle for a laned roadway violation. Wanted On Warrant Jennifer Granthan, 34, 16 North Mullin Hill Road, Westport, MA, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 31 at 7:39 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license. Police stopped Granthan on for speeding when a subsequent computer check found her license was suspended and that she was wanted by district court for failure to appear for a payment review.

Tiverton Police: DUIs, Drugs and Warrants

The following reports were supplied by the Tiverton Police Department. Arrests do not necessarily indicate convictions.

Under the Influence, Asleep and Driving David Beard, 27, of 4 Wendys Drive Apt. 6, Westport, MA was arrested on Aug. 19 at 7:07 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Tiverton Police received reports shortly before 7 p.m. that a green Honda was driving erratically on Stafford road. According to witnesses, the southbound car was passing cars on the left, nearly colliding with oncoming traffic and swerving. The car then came to a stop at the intersection of Stafford Road and Route 177, where witnesses approached the driver. The driver of the Honda - Beard - was allegedly asleep at the wheel with his foot on the break. When the witness, who drove a motorcycle, found beard he yelled at him …

Little Compton Police: Disorderly Conduct, Drunk Driving, and No Contact

Disorderly After Dark Ethan Irons, 28, of 13 Brooks Ave., Newport, was arrested on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 1:11 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct. According to reports, police made contact with Irons after finding him and several other individuals near Wilburs Woods on town property after hours. Irons allegedly became combative with police and was arrested and taken to police headquarters where his was booked and later arraigned. Little Compton Woman Arrested for Drunken Driving Dara Chase, 33, of 4 Colebrook Road, Little Compton, was arrested on Sunday, Aug. 19 at 2:46 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Tiverton Police: Pot Possession, DUIs and Domestics

The following reports were supplied by the Tiverton Police Department. Arrests do not necessarily indicate convictions.

Possession of Marijuana Robert Pimentel, 20, of 270 Pearce St. Apt. 1, Fall River, was arrested on Aug. 3 at 10:40 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana, first offense, and driving in possession of a controlled substance. Tiverton Police stopped a Pimental's car on Main Road because he was missing a headlight. Police allegedly detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from vehicle and a subsequent search revealed two suspected marijuana pipes - one glass, one metal - and a plastic baggie containing marijuana. Police arrested Pimental and we was later released on a summons for a court appearance. Underage and Over the Limit Christian M. Little Compton Police: Domestic Assault and a Disturbance

The following reports were supplied by the Little Compton Police Department. Arrests do not necessarily indicate convictions.

Domestic Assault Casey A. Quarry, 28, of 7 Dearborn St., Newport, was arrested on Sunday, Aug. 12 at 3:47 p.m. and charged with domestic simple assault. According to reports, police responded to the Crandall Road area to meet with a woman. She had scratches on her arms and was covered with dirt. She reported that she was assaulted by a family member while she visited him at his campsite off of Crandall Road. Officers made contact with him where he was arrested and charged.  Disturbance Police responded to an Old Main Road residence for a report of a domestic argument. After speaking with both parties involved, it was determined the argument never became physical. No one was arrested

Little Compton Police:

The following reports were supplied by the Little Compton Police Department. Arrests do not necessarily indicate convictions.

Arrested on Warrant James Mataronas, of 287 State Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 1 at 7:35 p.m. on a bench warrant for failure to appear in district court. Police found the warrant during a computer check after stopping Mataronas for not wearing his seat belt. Graffiti Reported A Little Compton resident reported that someone spray painted '666' on a telephone police at the corner of Church Road and Colebrook Road. Police have no suspects at this time.

Little Compton Police: DUIs and Vandalism

18-Year-Old Arrested on Drunken-Driving Charge Joseph Noe ,18, of 85 Freemont St., Taunton, MA, was arrested on Saturday, July 21 at 8:15 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence, first offense. According to reports, Noe was arrested after Little Compton Police stopped his car on South Shore Road for excessive speed. Lifeguard Chair Tipped Over A resident reported on Wednesday, July 18 at 8:02 a.m. that someome tipped over a  lifeguard chair and stole two small orange flags. Police are investifating the matter.

Rash Of Vehicle Break-Ins In Tiverton

Tiverton Police are warning residents to lock up their cars after a rash of break-ins this summer.

At least 21 vehicle break-ins, costing Tiverton residents thousands in lost property have been reported since June 1, according to police. According to Lt. Patrick Jones, the majority of the thefts ocurred at night and in cars that were left unlocked. "We want to remind people to lock the doors of their vehicles, remove any valuables, and report any suspicious activity," said Jones, public information officer with Tiverton Police. Car owners have reported items from GPS units to Ipods, digital cameras and computer tablets missing. Police arrested a 23-year-old Carver, MA man on Saturday, July 14 at 7:07 p.m. after stopping the car he was driving because he was not wearing a safety belt. Taunton Man Arrested For Suspended License, Warrant Scottie T. Couto, 30, of Taunton, MA, was arrested on Sunday, July 15 at 9:57 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license. Police stopped Couto for a motor vehicle infraction when a subsequent showed that his license was suspended and that he had a warrant for his arrest for failure to pay district court fines. He was arrested, processed and later arraigned at the station. Damaged Lifeguard Chair A South Shore Beach employee reported on Wednesday, July 11 at 12:25 a.m. that someone moved a lifeguard chair to the water’s edge. They also reported damage to the chair.
