Tiverton Youth Soccer

Tiverton Youth Soccer is the largest youth sports program operating in the town today, servicing more than 600 boys andMore girls of ages 4 through 15 years and providing them with instruction and competition in soccer. Tiverton Youth Soccer annually fields more than 50 teams in its fall recreational program and numerous age-group squads in its winter and spring competitive programs. Games and practices are held at various fields in the town, including the Town Farm Recreational Complex, Pocasset School, Tiverton Middle School and Tiverton High School. Tiverton Youth Soccer is constructing a new soccer facility off North Brayton Road, which should be completed by 2014; this facility will include four fields on an eight-acre complex.
Tiverton Junior Basketball League

The Tiverton Junior Basketball League provides instruction and organized practices and games of basketball for boys andMore girls in Tiverton, ages 7 through 16. The league traditionally fields from 20 to 35 teams and plays games at Tiverton Middle School and the Pocasset School on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Games are played from early December to late March. During the 2010-11 season, the league will service approximately 270 players in six separate playing divisions.
Tiverton Middle School

Tiverton Middle School is located on Quintal Drive. Led by Patricia Aull, the principal, it hosts grades 5 through 8.More Students of each grade are divided into two houses, the red house and the white house. The teachers work together on plans to meet the instructional needs of students in each house.
Tiverton School District

The administrative offices for Tiverton's School Department are located within the high school on North Brayton Road.More The district currently has around 1,950 students. There is a high school, middle school and three elementary schools: Fort Barton, Pocasset and William E. Ranger.

The elementary schools are for grades K-4 and the middle school is for grades 5-8.

All five of the school department's schools have hosted successful School Accountability for Learning and Teaching visits and the high school is currently accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

All five schools within the district were recognized by the Rhode Island Department of Education for high student achievement on the New England Common Assessment Program.

Tiverton School Department is committed to standards-based instruction and performance in a K-12 curriculum.

The Tiverton School Committee meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 7 pm in the Tiverton High School Library. Announcements of all regular school committee meetings will be made at least two days prior to the meeting by the superintendent.
