The Sakonnet Yacht Club (SYC) is located on Sakonnet Point Road in Little Compton. Racing is held on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays (in July and August). The Sunday races are also team racing. SYC also has a junior sailing program with beginner and intermediate racing and cruising classes. SYC also holds the annual Brown Blues Fishing Derby and the Sakonnet Ironman.
