Love this small town, old styled fish market. Time and time again I go in and am treated with a warm welcome from the employees and even hear a story from time to time about the "good ole days". Their fish is always fresh and their shellfish is always native. Wouldn't trade Bridgeport Seafood for any imitation fish market you might see at a local Stop n Shop or Shaws!

Bridgeport Seafood is a market that sells locally caught lobster and fresh seafood, including shellfish, scallops, cod, haddock and halibut. In the summer, native tuna and swordfish are available. The market also sells shrimp and sockeye salmon from Alaska. Bridgeport Seafood is a family business, open since 1937, currently run by David Helger.

I've been shopping at Bridgeport for close to 50 years back to the days when my Dad would take me along when buying steamers and lobsters from the late, great Arthur Helger ... nothing's changed and that's a GREAT thing!
