Tiverton Library Celebrates Summer Reading Program Finale

Tiverton Library Services will close-out its six-week summer reading program with a 45-minute performance by Greg Cooney.

The following was written from a press release from the Essex Public Library:

Tiverton's smallest readers dreamed big at all summer and now it’s time to celebrate with a final event and awards ceremony.

Join other readers and dreamers today, Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 10:30 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 28 Fish Road, Tiverton, for some musical fun with Greg Cooney.

This free, fun, 45-minute program is full of songs that introduce you to some people who had BIG DREAMS that changed the world. Designed for children ages 4-10, this special event wraps up our 2012 children’s summer reading program. On stage after the show, if you completed the summer reading requirements between June 29 and Aug. 8, you will receive a “Dream Big-READ!” reading certificate for your successful summer of reading and listening. Following the awards ceremony winners of the Paw Sox All-Star Reading Team Contest will be announced.

For more information, please visit the Tiverton Library's website or contact Janet Linhares, coordinator of children's services, at 625-6796.
