Want to avoid long lines and mobs this Black Friday? How about shopping locally? 

Instead of getting up at 4 a.m. to stand in line at Wal-Mart or Target, why not sleep in and start Small Business Saturday shopping a day early in town. 

Here's a few shops you can visit in town instead of the big box stores: 

Tiverton 

The Donovan Gallery
 

The Donovan Gallery features an ever-changing exhibit of New England fine art including paintings, photography, hand-pulled and limited edition prints, sculpture and special gift items. The gallery also offers affordable custom framing services. Gallery director Kris Donovan is celebrating her 30th year at Tiverton Four Corners, now located in a beautiful circa 1750s wooden-shingled building at the historic Tiverton Four Corners.

Courtyards
 

Courtyards is a shop full of such items as books, jewelry, handmade gifts, pottery and decorations for the inside and outside of your home. The shop features work by artisans from all over the United States. 

Little Purls 

Little Purls sells clothing for infants and young children, as well as shoes, velcro belts, toys, books, games, DVDs, sleepwear, outerwear and Hadley, hand crafted dishwear. Little Purls clothing fits sizes from infant to size seven for boys and infant to size 14/16 for girls.

Milk & Honey Bazaar, Inc. 

An artisanal cheese and specialty foods market offering over 100 varieties of cheese from all over the world. Visitors are encouraged to sample the cheeses and everything is cut to order. Milk & Honey also features local honey, eggs, jams, pate, salami, chacuterie , olives, olive oils, vinegars, crackers & fresh banquettes. The perfect place to get your picnic supplies. Custom platters & custom gift baskets are available for all occasions.

My Girl Friends Store 

My Girl Friends Store sells a wide range of products including bath and body care products, garden decor, furniture, kitchen decor, tableware, toys, games, sporting goods, pet accessories, religious ornaments, home decor, candles, electronics and women's clothing and accessories. A gift registry is also available.

Natures! 

Natures! is the business of Nancy Millard. It is a natural science shop carrying products such as crystals, minerals, fossils and seashells, along with handmade jewelry and Native American crafts. Tarot card and astrology readings are provided.

The Cottage At Four Corners 

The Cottage is a store full of fine home furnishings and giftware. The Cottage sells furniture, accessories, linens, dinnerware, books, and glassware. It features furniture by Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams, and it also carries glassware by Simon Pearce. The Cottage has been open since 1994.

Tiffany Peay Jewerly 

Tiffany Peay Jewelry is a locally owned jewelry shop in Tiverton. Tiffany Peay's jewelry is made from gold and assortedgemstones. Pieces featuring green, pink, white and yellow gold are available. Tiffany Peay has been making jewelry professionally since 1997 and has been in Four Corners since 2007.

Tiverton Four Corners 

Tiverton Four Corners is a shopping district filled with a variety of businesses. Visitors will find antique stores, restaurants and art galleries, among other shops. F

Wild About Beads 

Wild About Beads is a sweet little shop full of jewelry, gifts and beads. Wild About Beads has all the accessories necessary for making your own jewelry as well as brand name jewelry and gifts. It has gemstones cut with holes as well as quality brands such as Alex and Ani, Chamilia, Lovelinks, Trollbeads, JoJo Bling, Unity, Zable and more. Wild About Beads is family owned and operated and has been open since 2001.
