Tiverton School Committee Member Elected President of State Association

Jan Bergandy this month was elected president of the Rhode Island Association of School Committees.

Tiverton School Committee Member Jan Bergandy this month was elected president of the Rhode Island Association of School Committees.

Bergandy has served on the Tiverton School Committee since 2008. He has served on the RIASC board since 2008.

"It is a pleasure and honor to be elected president and I will continue to enhance RIASC's role in school committee professional development," Bergandy said in a statement. "I look forward to working with all of you on the future initiatives of the association for the membership."

Bergandy graduated from RIASC’s Leadership Academy, through which he has completed over 50 hours of school committee member professional development.
