Welcome Back Potluck Dinner

The Little Compton Prevention Coalition is sponsoring a Welcome Back Potluck Dinner on Monday, September 26 at 5:30 in the Wilbur-McMahon School cafeteria.  All families are invited to bring a potluck dish to share with other families.  The Coalition will supply beverages and paper products.

The Welcome Back Dinner commemorates the observance of Family Day - A Day to Eat Dinner with Your Children was launched in 2001 by The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University. Family Day is a national movement that informs parents that the engagement fostered during frequent family dinners is an effective tool to help keep America’s kids substance free. Dinner Makes A Difference!

More than a decade of research by The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University has consistently found that the more often kids eat dinner with their families, the less likely they are to smoke, drink or use drugs.
