Tiverton Sees 'Worst Performance' on Pension Return

A new investigative report shows the town of Tiverton experiencing the "worst investment performance" in the last decade for its pension return, reports WPRI TV

According to WPRI, the town of Tiverton saw an annual return on its investment of only 3.45% in the last 10 years.

Tiverton also invested nearly the most of any other Rhode Island city or town in the last fiscal year, according to the report by WPRI's Target 12 Team. The only other town to spend more was Lincoln.

WPRI's Target 12 Team spoke with former Town Administrator Jim Goncalo before he unexpectedly retired earlier this month. To hear Goncalo's response to the report, click here
