Beach Parking Issue Rises in Tiverton

Those wishing to park along High Hill Road in Tiverton will now need to walk to the beach after the Tiverton Open Space Commission removed any public parking as an option, reports EastBayRI.com

According to EastBayRI.com, the TOSC voted on June 17 to create a management plan for public land at the end of High High Road. The new plan removes public parking options and keeps beach access to those within walking distance, essentially residents nearby.

The plan now heads to the Coastal Resources Management Council for review, but we want to know what you think about this issue.
The vote raises questions about shoreline access and public parking.

Do you think the town of Tiverton should provide public parking at nearby beaches (not just on High Hill Road) or reduce parking to protect open space?
