News Report Shows Employee Working on Property on Town Time

State Police are investigating a complaint about Tiverton's maintenance director Robert Martin. A TV news investigation recently aired their own report.

Tiverton's Maintenance Director Robert "Bob" Martin is currently the subject of a State Police investigation, reports WJAR-TV Channel 10. 

Martin is being accused of working on his personal property while on town time, according to WJAR-TV Channel 10. Martin has denied this accusation.

Within the special report, the I-Team shows hidden video footage of Martin working on his personal property during town time, including using town vehicles to haul mattresses and other items at a property in Fall River, MA. 

The news report also shows an interview with Larry Faulkner, who recently quit his position with the town, according to EastBayRI.com

Martin, a Tiverton native and town employee since 1988, owns several apartment buildings in the town of Tiverton. 

In 2012, he donated a concession stand to the Tiverton Little League. He has also managed and directed work at the Bulgarmarsh Skate Park.
