The towns of Tiverton and Little Compton will not receive natural gas services as previously reported, according to a corrected article by The Associated Press.
However, Spectra Energy still plans on constructing a 1.6-mile long gas line through Tiverton and Little Compton.
The gas line would connect to an existing gas line and be used to store natural gas for communities on Aquidneck Island, according to the corrected article.
Construction would not begin until spring 2015 if approved.
