Health Inspections: Atlantic Sports Pub, Moulin Rouge

The Rhode Island Department of Health performed the following health inspections recently in Tiverton. 

Atlantic Sports Pub - inspected on Oct. 23

No bare hand contact with ready to eat (RTE) foods. 

Inspector Comments 
An employee was observed scooping ice with the cup from the ice bin. An ice scoop must be used. Fruit being added to drinks must be picked up with tongs/fork not bare hands. Food employess must not touch exposed, ready-to-eat food with their bare hands and shall use suitable utensils such as deli tissue, spatulas, single use gloves or dispensing equipment.14Food-contact surfaces: cleaned & sanitized 

Inspector Comments 
The slicer had an accumulation of food and debris. The food contact surfaces of equipment must be clean to sight and touch. Slicer must be thoroughly washed, rinsed and sanitized.23Consumer advisory posted for raw or undercooked foods

The consumer advisory provided does not disclose the foods on the menu that are raw or undercooked. An asterisks must be added to the front of the advisory and in front of any food/food section affected by the advisory.36Insects, rodents & animals not present; no unauthorized persons

The door to the outside in the kitchen is not self-closing, this does not provide a protective barrier against the entry of pests. Flies were observed in the kitchen during the inspection. Fly papers were observed in the establishment as well.41In-use utensils: properly stored

(Bowls) are being used as scoops in containers of bread crumbs, scoops must be used in place of bowls. Utensils used to dispense non-potentially hazardous foods such as sugar and flour must be stored in the food item with their handles above the top of the food within the container.47Non-food contact surfaces clean

The nonfood-contact surfaces of the hood/vent system and the top of the hood unit has an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue and other debris.47Non-food contact surfaces clean

The nonfood-contact surfaces of the inside if the steam table unit has an accumulation of food residue and other debris. the steam table must be emptied and cleaned daily.47Non-food contact surfaces clean 

Inspector Comments 
The nonfood-contact surfaces of the shelving and heat lamps on the prep line; inside of refrigeration equipment; and gaskets/tracks of refrigerators have an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue and other debris.53Physical facilities installed, maintained & clean 

Inspector Comments 
The floor in the front of the back door in the kitchen is in poor repair. The physical facilites must be maintained in good repair.

Inspector Comments 
The ice machine had an accumulation of black debris. The food contact surfaces of equipment must be clean to sight and touch. The ice machine was tuned off during the inspection, a staff member left to purchase bags of ice. Ice machine MUST be drained/emptied, thoroughly washed, rinsed, sanitized and air dried before resuming use.47Non-food contact surfaces clean

The nonfood-contact surfaces of the window fan and fan cord over the dishes had an accumulation of dust, and debris.
