State lawmakers are scrambling to figure out how to pay for HealthSource RI once federal funding runs out.

One method would be to add an additional user fee to cover the program's projected annual cost of $24 million starting in 2015.

The Providence Journal reported the user fee would be about $550 if all of the roughly 44,000 uninsured people in the state signed up for the health insurance program.

Lawmakers are also considering shifting control of the exchange to the federal government if they can't find a way to pay for it.

He has always been a piece of work Tom. Wonder why you travel to those places and come back. We we retired for the last time in 2000 we RV'd full time for 11 yrs before quitting and settling down on the Third Coast. I will have to call my big sister and ask her what Buddy has been up to lately. Ha! His doings are a hobby for her to watch.

I think the 3rd coast is the Gulf Coast . To warm and humid in the summers for me pal . Oh I stay here in RI because I have elderly in my family and I'm a senior citizen myself lol . I have my reason's Chris believe me while I cruise around here with a clothes pin on my nose when that skank Nancy Pelosi visits her DemoCRAP relatives in Pawtucket a few times per year lol . Luckily I live a good distance from that cesspool of a sanctuary city pal .
