Vehicle Hits Old Gray's Store

The following are excerpts from the Little Compton police log. An arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Little Compton police reported the following incidents:

  • March 12, 4:30 p.m. Police received a call from an employee at Brayton’s garage who reported that a white pickup truck with tinted windows spun out and struck the street lamp post and the corner of an outbuilding at Gray’s Store. Police responded and observed the damage to the fixture and outbuilding. The matter is still under investigation.
  • March 12, 11:11 a.m. Police responded to the U.S. Post Office on Crandall Road for a report of a minor motor vehicle accident. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles sustained minor damage.
  • March 12, 9 a.m. Police were notified after a woman said she struck a deer while driving on Maple Avenue. Police were unable to locate the animal.
