Tiverton Woman Charged with DUI

Deborah Marie Ross failed a field sobriety test Sunday, police said.

Portsmouth police charged a Tiverton woman with driving under the influence last week.

Deborah Marie Ross, 56, of 112 Fieldstone Ln., was arrested Sun., March 2.

Police said an officer saw her swerving on Turnpike Avenue. She allegedly smelled like alcohol and failed a field sobriety test after telling police she was driving home from a friend’s house after having a few glasses of wine.

Police also charged Ross with refusing a chemical test.

Her car was towed from the scene and she was taken into custody without incident.
