Tiverton Police Logs: 8 Recent Arrests

The following arrest reports were supplied by the Tiverton Police Department. They do not indicate a conviction.

arrested a Middletown woman last week and charged her with drunk driving after she was riding on the rim of her vehicle and attempted to elude police.

Susan L. Ramey, 54, of 28 Reardon Drive, Middletown, was arrested at 8:38 p.m. Thursday, June 9, on Main Road. Ramey was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol (first offense), reckless driving and refusal to submit a chemical test.

According to Sgt. James Costa, police were called by a witness following an erratic driver on Main Road, driving southbound on the rim of the vehicle's tire. Police caught up to the driver, alleged to be Ramey, taking a left onto East Road near Roseland Terrace. Costa said the officer stopped Ramey there, and as he approached her vehicle, it was stated she allegedly did not listen to the officer's commands and "revved her engine a bit." Costa said she drove a bit further down the road and the officer followed her, stopped her in a residential driveway and arrested her.

Trespassing and possession of drugs

Elizabeth Anne Carvalho, 30, of 3715 Main Road, Tiverton, was arrested at 6:12 p.m. Friday, June 10, on Main Road. Carvalho was charged with possession of Schedule III/IV drugs (Diazepam) and willful trespass.

According to Costa, police were called to 3709 Main Road for a disturbance. Upon arrival, witnesses allegedly identified Carvalho as the person creating the disturbance and allegedly had a no trespass order issued against her. When she was taken into custody, Costa said police allegedly found Diazepam pills in Carvalho's pocketbook without possessing a prescription.

Fugitive from justice

Tiverton Police arrested a 17-year-old Tiverton man at 10:37 a.m. Tuesday, June 7. Costa said they the juvenile was held as fugitive from justice who was wanted by the Fall River Police Department. The arrest is in reference to the 17-year-old being in connection with a man who was by State Police for stealing train tracks in Portsmouth.

Violation of no contact order

Peter G. Nicoletti, 44, of 400 Metacom Ave., Apt. 208, Bristol, was arrested at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, at the Tiverton Police Station. Nicoletti was charged with violation of a no contact order and domestic vandalism.

Vandalism

  • Brent Alan Kimbrel, 20, of 340 State Route 23, Cincinnatus, N.Y., was arrested at 1:12 a.m. Sunday, June 12. Kimbrel was charged with domestic vandalism.
  • Amanda Martin, 30, of 57 Walnut St., Apt. 2, Tiverton, was arrested at 2:28 a.m. Wednesday, June 15. Martin was charged with vandalism and disorderly conduct.

Warrant arrests

  • John Cambra, Jr., 32, of 91 State Ave., Tiverton, was arrested at 11:40 a.m. Monday, June 13, at his residence. Cambra was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for alleged drug possession.
  • Jordan Scott Mello, 19, of 253 Hooper St., Tiverton, was arrested at 3:06 p.m. Tuesday June 14, in District Court. Mello was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for an alleged two counts of attempted breaking and entering, conspiracy and breaking and entering a dwelling without consent.
