Tiverton Police: Middletown Man Charged with DUI, 10 Other Offenses

Christopher Vivier, 34, of 15 Randolph Ave. Apt. 1, Tiverton, was arrested on Jan. 22 at 11:05 p.m. and charged with obstructing an officer in duty and driving with a suspended license. According to Tiverton Police reports, a warrant was drafted for Vivier's arrest following a traffic stop on Bridgeport Road on Jan. 9. Tiverton Police stopped Vivier for not wearing a safety belt and noticed that the registration on his Ford Expedition came back for a Volvo. At the time he had no license on him and gave police his brother's identity. He was cited and released that night. During a followup investigation, police learned Vivier had given an assumed identity and a warrant was drafted for his arrest. Police arrested Vivier at his home and he was released on Jan. 23.

Local Woman Charged With Domestic Assault

Kelly Pimental, 43, of 120 Horizon Drive, Tiverton, was arrested on Jan. 22 at 10:50 p.m. and charged with domestic simple assault after she allegedly slapped her ex-husband in the face during an argument. According to reports, Pimental was not at the home when police arrived, but turned herself into authorities the following morning. She was arraigned in Second Division District Court and released on $1,000 personal recognizance.

Drunken-Driving Arrest 

William L. Freeman, 23, of 7A Bristol Road, Middletown, was arrested on Jan. 23 at 10:46 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence, two counts of simple assault, resisting arrest, refusal to submit to a chemical test, driving without a license and six traffic violations. According to reports, police stopped Freeman for driving 48 mph in a posted 25 mph zone on Main Road. Police allegedly smelled alcohol on Freeman's breath. Freeman took and failed a field sobriety test. Back at headquarters, he allegedly threatened officers, and attempted to strike them. He was arraigned in district court on Jan. 24 and released on $2,000 bail with surety.

Wanted on Warrant

David R. Lingard, 37, of 301 Bulgarmarsh Road Apt. 73, Tiverton, was arrested on Jan. 25 at 10:22 p.m. on a bench warrant from Second Division District Court for failure to appear for a payment review. He was arrested at his home without incident.

More Warrants

Jason Morreira, 27, of 37 Pershing Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on Jan. 25 at 11:59 p.m. on three warrants. Morreira turned himself into police headquarters on Industrial Way.

Disorderly Conduct Drive

Shaun P. Petty, 28, of 60 Brayton Road, Tiverton, was arrested on Jan. 26 at 2:05 p.m. and charged with domestic disorderly conduct after he allegedly became enraged after his girlfriend broke up with him.

More Warrants!

Christian Faulkner, 20, of 36 Cliff St., Tiverton, was arrested on Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m. on a district court bench warrant because she owed fines.
