Tiverton Democrats Endorse Seth Magaziner

The Democrat is running for state treasurer.

Citing his strong record as an investment professional and his dedication to economic growth the Tiverton Democratic Town Committee has endorsed Seth Magaziner for state treasurer.

"The Tiverton Democratic Town Committee is proud to support Seth Magaziner," said committee chairman, Mike Burke. "It’s encouraging to hear fresh ideas for how to strengthen our economy and bring jobs back to Rhode Island. Seth's record as an investor and his commitment to leadership that serves all Rhode Islanders make him the clear choice for voters who care about getting our state back on track."

“I am grateful to have to support of the Tiverton Democratic Town Committee,” said Magaziner. “Like many Rhode Islanders, I am discouraged with the path we have been on and frustrated with mismanagement and buck-passing from leaders in state government. I am running for Treasurer to put the era of bad investments, back-room deals and high unemployment behind us.

“As an investment professional, I know what it takes to secure and grow our state’s finances. I will use the Office of General Treasurer as a platform for economic growth so that we can put people back to work and build a bright, secure future for the people of Rhode Island."

Tiverton joins the Barrington and Charlestown Democratic Town Committees, the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 328, the Ironworkers Union Local 37, dozens of Rhode Island business leaders, and former Congressman Patrick Kennedy in endorsing Magaziner's candidacy.

Seth Magaziner is an investment professional from Bristol. He worked as a Vice President at Trillium Asset Management, which manages more than $1 billion in assets.  A graduate of Brown and Yale, Magaziner is a Democratic candidate for General Treasurer.
