Portsmouth Man Allegedly Robs Tiverton Gas Station At Gunpoint

The following is based on reports from the Tiverton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.


Tiverton police arrested a Portsmouth man Friday in connection with the armed robbery of the Dania Food Mart in Tiverton. 

Andrew Paiva, 24, whose last known address is 14 Cottage Ave., Portsmouth, was arrested and charged with first degree armed robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Paiva is being charged in connection with the armed robbery of the Dania Food Mart, located at 861 Main Road, Tiverton, this past Wednesday.  

He is also being charged by the Portsmouth Police Department with larceny of a firearm.  

He is currently being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI).  

Tiverton detectives are continuing their investigation into this incident.
