Tiverton police arrested a man Sunday after allegedly catching him during a Tiverton home robbery.

Police were called Sunday to a breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival, they found Brian McCollum, 35.

McCollum attempted to flee and a struggle with police ensued. Officers were able to gain compliance from Mr. McCollum who attempted to assault officers, according to police.

Officers later learned that he had also allegedly assaulted the parties inside the residence.

McCollum was arrested and charged. He was later transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions.

Glad the scum is in jail. Not that its any consolation folks but the charges being domestic related mean this probably occurred at his parents or partners house.
