Police Arrest Man on Heroin Charges - Twice in Two Days

Police arrested a local man twice on heroin charges, according to EastBayRI.com

Zachary G. Leroy, 20, of 27 Louise Drive, Tiverton, was first arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 20, after police searched his home, according to the article. 

Tiverton police reportedly found 37 bags of heroin in the suspect's closet on Louise Drive in Tiverton, according to EastBayRI.com. Leroy was charged with possession of a controlled substance. 

Only two days later, Leroy was arrested again on heroin charges. This time, he was arrested by Portsmouth police. 

Police Find 27 Heroin Packets at Park Avenue Drug Bust

Portsmouth police conducted surveillance on Aug. 22 on Park Avenue after receiving information that narcotics deliveries were occurring in the area. 

Leroy was seen driving on Park Avenue when he stopped to let another person inside the vehicle. Police later stopped the vehicle and performed a search of the car, where they found 27 packets of heroin. 

Leroy was then charged with delivery of heroin.
