Police Advise Residents to Lock Doors With Rise in House Breaks

Tiverton police say they are investigating an increase in house breaks.

Tiverton police are investigating an increase in house break-in reports and advising residents to lock doors, reports The Associated Press and the Newport Daily News. 

According to The Associated Press and Newport Daily News, police investigated 10 reports of break-ins in December, which is higher than average. Police have received two reports of house break-ins so far this month. 

Residents are being advised to lock doors and windows when they leave their homes and vehicles. Residents should also report any suspicious activity to Tiverton police at (401) 625-6722.
