Little Compton Police: Fall River Man Nearly Runs Police Car Off Of Road

Fall River Man Charged With Driving Three Times The Legal Limit After Nearly Driving Police Car Off The Road

Timothy Silva, 38, of Fall River, MA, was arrested on Jan. 19 at 2:13 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence. According to reports, Little Compton Police stopped Silva on West Main Road after he allegedly nearly ran a marked cruiser off of the road. When officers made contact with Silva, they detected the smell of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle. When asked, Silva took and failed field sobriety tests. He was arrested and charged. At police headquarters, he agreed to take the breathalyzer which resulted in a reading of more than three times the legal limit.

Car Burglary

A Crandall Road woman reported on Jan. 15 at 9:09 a.m. that her car was broken into sometime during the night. She reported several stolen items.

Only In Little Compton

A local man found and returned $180 into police headquarters after he reportedly found it lying in the road on Pottersville Road near Crowthers Restaurant. The cash was placed in the lost and found.

Ding Dong Glitch

A group of Little Compton youths met the police on the other end of their doorbells recently when they were tracked down after playing 'ding, dong, ditch' in the Chase Point neighborhood. Police reportedly tracked the gang down after a woman found no one at the door after her doorbell rang on Jan. 19 at around 9:45 p.m. and called police. According to police reports, no one was charged, but the youths were located and their games ended.
