Little Compton Police: Hit And Run, A Warrant and A Stolen Cooler

Cyclist Hit And Run

A bicyclist reported to the Little Compton Police Department on Wesnesday, July 25 at 6:55 p.m. that a car hit hit as it was  turning onto Colebrook Road from Long Highway. The cyclist was not injured, but the bicycle was damaged. The driver of the car did not stop and was not identified. A description of the car was also not available. Police are investigating the matter.

Bristol Man Arrested On Warrant

Paul Gonsalves, 24, of 45 Catherine St., Bristol was arrested on Sunday, July 29 at 9:41 p.m. on an arrest warrant affidavit for eluding police and driving on a suspended license. 

Cooler Stolen

Someone reported that sometime between 3 and 5 a.m. a large cooler was stolen from outside a camper parked at Site 5 on South Shore Beach. The cooler reportedly contained beverages and food.
