Larcenies, Domestic Assault Charges Top Recent Arrests
The following is based on reports from the Tiverton and Little Compton Police Departments. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Tiverton and Little Compton police made the following arrests recently.
Tiverton
Hector O. Rivera, 59, of 42 Main Road, Tiverton, was arrested on Oct. 19 at 7:26 p.m. after becoming involved in an argument with a Tiverton woman. Rivera was charged with domestic, simple assault, and domestic, refusal to relinquish the telephone.
Doreen M. Destefano, 54, of Bud Way, Tiverton, was arrested on Oct. 19 at 9:50 p.m. at her residence after becoming involved in an argument with a Tiverton female. Destefano was charged with domestic, simple assault.
Little Compton
Thomas Ferreira, 45, 780 Crandall Road, Tiverton, was arrested on Oct. 18 at 10:49 a.m. after he admitted stealing a brass propeller from a resident's yard. Ferreira told police he took the brass propeller to scrap the metal. The item was returned to its owner. Ferreira was charged with larceny under $1,500, a misdemeanor. He received a court summons.
Amy White, 36, of 15 Burchard Ave., Little Compton, was arrested on Oct. 20 after she turned herself in at the police station. White was wanted on an arrest warrant. She was wanted for allegedly stealing $450 from her former employer, A-1 Pizza. White was charged with larceny under $1,500, a misdemeanor.
