Former Tiverton Man Arrested in $1.2 Million Marijuana Bust

A former Tiverton man was charged recently after a plane landed in New Castle, PA, with 242 lbs. of marijuana.

A former Tiverton man was arrested recently after police found $1.2 million worth of marijuana - 242 pounds of marijuana - onboard a plan headed for Rhode Island, reports NBC 10 News. 

Michael Daniels, formerly of Tiverton, is facing federal drug charges after allegedly meeting a pilot to receive marijuana behind a Lincoln hotel. 

Authorities first discovered the marijuana on board a plant that landed in New Castle, PA, according to NBC 10. Authorities allowed the plan to continue to Rhode Island, where they continued to monitor. The pilot was also arrested and charged.

Daniels was charged with conspiracy to possess marijuana with intent to distribute.
