Tiverton police arrested an alleged bank robber at Bliss Four Corners on Oct. 30.

Tiverton police arrested a 28-year-old Westport man on Tuesday, Oct. 30 on a Massachusetts warrant for bank robbery, reports the Sakonnet Times.

At 9:36 a.m. Shawn Martin, 28, of Westport, was arrested and charged as a fugitive from justice under a Fall River arrest warrant for bank robbery. Police stopped Martin and his passenger after staking out the Hess gas station near Bliss Corners.

Police charged the passenger, Keith Cummings, 48, of Fall River, with obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duties after Cummings allegedly interfered with police.

Arrests do not necessarily indicate a conviction.
