Domestic Assault Charges Top Weekend Arrests

The following is based on reports from the Tiverton and Little Compton Police Departments. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Police made the following arrests recently. 

Tiverton

Erik Pacheco, 33, of 15 Clement St., Apt. 3, Tiverton, was arrested on Sept. 16 at 5:50 p.m. at his home. Pacheco was arrested after allegedly becoming involved in an argument with a Tiverton man. He was charged with domestic, simple assault, and domestic, vandalism to property. 

Alfred A. Sousa, 43, of 241 King Road, Tiverton, was arrested on Sept. 20 at 11:45 p.m. after a traffic stop on Crandall Road. Sousa was charged with driving under the influence, first offense; refusal to submit to a chemical test; failure to use a turn signal; and lane roadway violations. 

Nicholas Walsh, 26, of 25 Warren Ave., Tiverton, was arrested Sept. 22 at 7:18 a.m. at his home. Walsh was arrested after becoming involved in an argument. Walsh was charged with domestic, simple assault, and resisting arrest. 

Luke A. Magnuson, 31, of 1 Mill St., Apt. 1102, Tiverton, was arrested on Sept. 22 at 9:34 a.m. at his home. Magnuson was charged with domestic, simple assault, after becoming involved in an argument. 

Little Compton

Susan Sherman, 54, of 57 Francis Lane, Little Compton, was arrested on Sept. 18 at 8:23 p.m. after allegedly not being able to pay her cab fare. Sherman was charged with evasion of payment of fare. 

Jarid Ventura, 26, of 130 Lawrence Court, Tiverton, was arrested on Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence (DUI). Police stopped the vehicle he was operating for speeding and leaving the travel lane, according to police. 

Police are also investigating a report of a larceny of $450 from A-1 Pizza. According to business owners, $450 was found to be missing from the register. The incident is under investigation.
