DUI Charges Top Holiday Weekend Arrests

The following is based on reports from the Tiverton and Little Compton Police Departments. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Police in Tiverton and Little Compton made the following arrests recently. 

Tiverton 

Jeffrey H. Walsh, 31, of 70 Cynthia Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on Nov. 26 at 1:50 p.m. after a traffic stop on Stafford Road. Walsh was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), first offense. 

Ann Marie Peckham, 53, of Fall River, MA, was arrested on Nov. 26 at 9:26 p.m. after police responded to a residence on State Avenue. Peckham was charged with disorderly conduct. 

Jamieson S. Toulan, 21, of 69 Nanaquaket Road, Tiverton, was arrested on Nov. 28 at 3:58 a.m. after a traffic stop on Main Road, south of Cumberland Farms. Toulan was charged with DUI, first offense; lane violation; and leaving the right side of road. 

Isabelle Michaels, 52, of 67 Old Harbor Road, Little Compton, was arrested on Dec. 1 at 6:31 p.m. after a traffic stop on Crandall Road. Michaels was charged with DUI, first offense; possession of a scheduled narcotic; driving in possession of a controlled substance; driving too close to another vehicle; and lane road violation. 

Marsha Skarka, 54, of 114 Lepes Road, Tiverton, was arrested on Dec. 1 at 9:19 p.m. after police responded to Skarka's residence for a reported disturbance. Skarka was charged with the following: domestic, vandalism and destruction to property; domestic, simple assault and batter; disorderly conduct; simple assault; and resisting arrest.

Little Compton 

Justin Beaulieu, 22, 247 Narrow Ave., Westport, MA, was arrested on Dec. 1 at 12:06 a.m. after a vehicle operated by Beaulieu was stopped for speeding on Crandall Road. Beaulieu was subsequently arrested and charged with DUI, first offense, BAC .15 or greater. According to police, Beaulieu's BAC was .164 and .162. He was also charged with speeding and arraigned before a justice of the peace. 

Police are also investigating a complaint of theft at a West Main Road business. The theft was reported on Nov. 29. The theft included several 
gallons of diesel fuel and miscellaneous scrap aluminum, brass, 
and electric engines. The investigation is ongoing.
