Someone Never Left Middle School

I myself left middle school in the early 80's. Leaving behind the awkwardness of adolescence, the immaturity, the childish games, the need for constant attention even if it was negative, and the lack of social maturity expected at that age. Unfortunately, there are some of us that although they have aged well past their middle school years, their demonstrated behaviors continue to resemble that of a young child. Personally, I have way too much on my plate, including many priorities in my life that require my attention, to continue to partake in such childish behavior. So, I am going to end this "little game" of exchange here.
Mr. Sousa, your continued apparent need for attention is actually very sad. Spending your days and nights deleting others comments appears to me to be a cry for the attention that you wish to seek. I for one am certainly not going to continue to feed the beast.
Heckling me from behind, as I spoke at Monday evenings Town Council meeting, was also another one of your highlights. Do you plan to demonstrate this same vile behavior if you are elected to the Town Council? Do you really think that labeling me as a tax and spend liberal and name calling was appropriate? Did you think that I would skip a beat or be intimidated by you and your crass behavior? Apparently you don't know me very well.
It amazes me that you actually feel you are qualified, and capable, of being an elected representative of our community. How can one represent all, when you are unwilling to listen to any other voice other than the one in your head, which is your very own.
Elected officials are the stewards of our community and they serve for the greater good of ALL residents. They should hold themselves to a higher level of professionalism and demonstrate a constant level of respectful behavior that is greater than the average citizen. They are approachable, reasonable, and thoughtful.
After days of you deleting, and me reposting, a copy of the comment thread on the post "Don't You Dare Try to Silence My Voice", I have come to the realization that you will never change. You apparently feel that you are in control, you are an expert on everything, and you are the knower of all. And if anyone has a any doubt about that, they should just ask you.
This has certainly been another life long learning opportunity for me, and for that, I thank you. Middle school was great and an important part of growing up. I got to experience all the things that I shouldn't do, and got a pass because I was a child. However, I am glad that it only comes around once in a life time and for "most of us", we get to grow as a person, move forward, and leave it behind.
Mr. Sousa I hope you continue to enjoy recess, lunch lines, and visits to the Principal's office. If you happen to be selling candy bars for the class trip, let me know. However for me, I must now return to the adult world.
