Letter to the Patch Editors and User

I'm sorry but can not stand the abuse of the Tiverton Patch forums and need to clear the air. The continued back and forth between the person using a certain ID (that I will provide to the editors upon email request) is not worth the time and effort to go on to the site. The forums in their current state with this person on the site has made the Tiverton Patch site unusable.

This person:

Post and makes comments using many ID's (has been caught by myself and others)

Uses these extra ID's to flag comments so that they are removed (even valid comments)

Deletes his own posts to clear comments and reposts it (word for word)

Uses the edit feature move his posts to the top of the list (never changing anything)

I for one am done with the Patch site until something is done about this persons misuse of the site. I am sure I am not the first to stop using Tiverton Patch site and I am sure I will not be the last, but as long as this person is allowed to continue to control the site with their actions it is not usable. It reflects badly on the Town of Tiverton and the Patch and I would suggest that the Patch contacts this person and ask them to stop using their site or shut down the Tiverton patch forums completely.

Please note: I did not name the person and while I may not agree with what they have to say or how the say it, the forums are open to anyone and everyone. Respect is earned, not given. Right now I have lost respect for myself. I allowed myself to sink to their level and I regret that. The Patch site is not about one person or a certain group. It is a place to ask questions and get answers (some you may not like), It's a place to exchange view points, but most of all it's about a community...
