Letter: Tiverton Garden Club Appreciates All Who Helped This Year

Jan Bailey-Bruch of the Tiverton Garden Club writes a letter to thank all who helped with this year's Earth Day clean-up and poster contest.

To the Editor:

The Tiverton Garden Club would like to express our appreciation to all of the dedicated volunteers who worked to make this year's a success. The faithful effort of these volunteers made a difference in the appearance of our town and is greatly appreciated.

We also thank Steve Belucchi, director of and his staff for providing and collecting the DPW approved bags and piles of trash gathered during the week, and the staff at the and who provided staging areas for supplies and sign up information.

We thank Barbara Pelletier for her work on the banners and Marcia Robitaille for designing the flyers posted throughout town.

Mary Salvadore, elementary school art teacher, was instrumental in coordinating the "Keep Our Tiverton Scene Clean" poster contest for students in grades 1 through 4. We also thank Library Services Director Anne Grealish-Rust  and Officer Daniel Raymond, for presenting awards to the winners of the . The winning posters will be on display in the Youth Library at Essex Library.
