A theory...or fact?

I have been working up a little theory. Bear with me. In the past, the Patch has been a place for all to voice concerns about local politics, and I believe it has played positive role in bringing awareness about groups who have worked in secrecy to harm public education, defund essential services, and act in their own interests and against the interests of the town in general. Over the past few months, one member of this group has been working to undermine this Patch by deleting comments and stifling opposing points of view. There have been times when the Patch is totally unusable. Is there something bigger at play? Is this actually a coordinated effort to shut down the Patch so that it can no longer be used to keep voters informe? Why are the only comments that are safe the ones that support the Tiverton Taxpayers Association? Why won't supporters of this group answer questions about their beliefs? Is this part of the plan to stifle opposition during budget season? Is the new TCC strategy?
