Developer, Amateur Jokester Dies at 69

A memorial service for Jonathan Holmes is scheduled for Jan. 4.

Jonathan Holmes, 69, passed away on Dec. 18. Born in Concord, MA, he was a long time resident of South Dartmouth, MA, before moving to Little Compton several years ago. He was a retired commercial real estate developer and loved to make people laugh by telling jokes. 

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Holmes, sister, Sally Ann Martone, brother-in-law, Sal Martone, sister-in-law, Donna Holmes, nieces Kristin Martone-Levine, Merrill Caramagno and Alison Fisher, nephews, Karl Martone and Chris Holmes. 

A gathering will take place on Saturday, Jan. 4, 1-4 p.m. at the family residence in Little Compton.
