Connecticut based bands Wise Old
Moon and The Meadows Brothers will be performing at the Sandywoods Center for
the Arts in Tiverton, RI on Sunday, July 13th.
Wise
Old Moon is an alternative folk band with a unique sound that defies
categorization. A little bit of early American folk music, a heavy 90’s
alternative rock influence thrown in, with pop song sensibility and ethereal
soundscapes to top it off; all performed with the stripped down instrumentation
of acoustic guitar, harmonica,
violin, and percussion.
Songsmith/Frontman Connor Zane Millican started the band in
the winter of 2013 and they have been hard at work ever since, and are set to
release their highly anticipated debut album, “The Patterns”, in late July.

The
Meadows Brothers are a roots music duo hailing from Chester, CT. The
brothers, Dustin (18) and Ian (20) have been playing music together for much of
their lives. They borrow from the “brother bands” of 1940’s-1950’s
classic country and bluegrass; but bring their own songwriting styles and a 21st
century twist to the music. Over the past few years the Brothers have gigged
extensively all over New England, and shared stages with a wide range of
artists including Don Mclean and James McMurtry.
