Union Public Library Association Book Sale & Yard Sale

Union Public Library Association will hold a giant book sale, bake sale and yard sale on Saturday, August 17 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sunday, August 18 from noon to 4:00 PM at the Chase Cory House, 3908 Main Rd., Tiverton Four Corners. A wide variety of paperback and hardcover books will be available including best-sellers, mysteries, romance, science fiction, non-fiction and children’s. An eclectic assortment of household goods will also be offered for sale at this event, as well as a bake table where homemade treats may be purchased. 

      Donations of books and yard sale items are now being accepted.  Small donations of books may be dropped off in the bin in front of Union Public Library, 3832 Main Road in Tiverton, RI.  Larger donations should be dropped off during normal hours of operation at Union Public Library on Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.   We are unable to take encyclopedias, text books or magazines for this sale.  To make arrangements to drop off yard sale items, please e-mail bonniebield@aol.com or call (401) 624-6364.   We are not able to accept upholstered furniture, appliances or electronics.

     Volunteers are needed to help with set up on Friday, August 16 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and clean up on Sunday, August 18 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  High school students will receive community service hours.  To volunteer, please contact Barbie Lewis at (401) 624-2039.
