January 7th - Free Sandywoods Open Mic with Featured Artist Kayla Ringelheim
TUESDAY, JANUARY 7, from 7 to 10 pm - FREE OPEN MIC at Sandywoods Center for the Arts, 43 Muse Way, Tiverton, RI. The featured performer will be Kayla Ringelheim.
Kayla Ringelheim is a young singer/songwriter with impressive piano chops, ancient tales to tell, and a voice of honey to tell them with. Her most recent CD release, "Wandering Feet," is a remarkable display of her artful impulse to capture life’s meanderings in song. She paints images of people, emotions and life with her music. Kayla has been a finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition and was voted “Audience Choice” at the Boston Folk Festival Songwriting Competition in 2008.

On the first Tuesday of every month, from 7-10 pm, an open mic is held at Sandywoods. All musicians, performers, and spoken word artists are welcome to take the stage. Admission is free, but donations for the evening's featured artist are much appreciated. BYOB and BYOF (food), and Coastal Roasters gourmet coffee is served.
